IPhoto is one of Apple's 'killer' apps, it continually gets updated and like many other apple apps, it integrates very nicely to other apple programs within iLife, iWork, OSX, iTunes, and of course mobile me. I have done some organization by events in iPhoto. I know want to do some editing in Picasa (which pulls photos from folders).
